Topic #1: The Self Authenticating Bible – How do we know the Bible is God’s Word?
Topic #2: “The Bible’s Missing Books?” – How do we know we have the right books in the Bible and why do we think that we do?
Excellent presentations by Dr. Kruger. I think he misunderstood the last question from the audience. The man was asking about: Luk_23:34 And Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do . . . . This text is one that has been up for debate in textual criticism which is what I believe the questioner was addressing. Here’s a link to a discussion of the text by James R. White: http://www.aomin.org/aoblog/index.php/2013/03/16/from-the-lips-of-jesus-or-a-scribal-hand-father-forgive-them-for-they-do-not-know-what-they-are-doing-2/
It seems that Dr. Kruger thought the question was about this text: Mat_27:46 And about the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, “Eli, Eli, lema sabachthani?” that is, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?”
Which as far as I know is not debated in the field of textual criticism, but more so from the theological perspective.
